Time for Summer Reads!

It's almost Summer!!

Pardon my excitement...it's been a while since I felt good, and now the sun is shining, my patio garden is growing, and I'm getting ready to dive in on some summer writing projects. 

This means getting back to work on Home, the final book in the Orowais series, and hoping I can get that novel back on track for a winter publish date.

I'm also doing a fun sci-fi script with an all-transgender cast to help celebrate Pride month. :-) It may never get made, but I'm having a blast writing it, and imagining great characters for some of the fabulous transgender actors and actresses out there. It would be great to see more people like me up on the silver screen, and you have to write the roles so they'll get cast the way you want.

I have 5 scripts in contention at the prestigious Austin Film Festival this year, as that is one of the few WGA-approved outlets to get my work out there until the strike ends. I've done well there in the past, and I'm hoping to get some eyes on this year's crop of screenplays.

I’m also trying my hand at developing an animated series that I’ll post to TikTok and YouTube when it’s finished. My screenwriting and directing buddies have inspired me to give it a shot, and it’s a great way to get some of my writing produced.
